Founding Engineer

Applied Labs is building the platform for reliable AI agents that automate complex work. We deploy advanced, on-brand AI agents that handle complex customer support and operational workflows across chat, email, voice, and more with high CSAT and resolution rates. Backed by tier-1 VCs and angels, our early team includes people from Harvard, MIT, Gemini, and Meta.

As a Founding Engineer at Applied Labs, you'll own core agent systems from idea to production (orchestration, tool-use, planning, memory, evals) and architect for reliability by designing agent loops and guardrails that hold up under real-world edge cases.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain large-scale products that impact millions of users and shape the future of customer interactions
• Own core agent systems from idea to production: orchestration, tool-use, planning, memory, evals
• Architect for reliability by designing agent loops and guardrails for real-world edge cases
• Move fast with strong customer empathy, product understanding, and ownership

Offices in New York and San Francisco; primarily in-person.

Compensation: $160K – $300K/year.
