Full-Stack AI Engineer (Senior)

Ascending AI develops tools designed to help people maintain autonomy, strengthen relationships, and pursue meaningful goals. The company built an initial product enabling users to map their relationships and spot communication patterns for daily clarity and intentional living.

The role involves designing, developing, and optimising innovative AI-powered products. Engineers work directly with founders and a small team, contributing to architecture decisions while potentially mentoring junior developers.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years software engineering experience
• Demonstrated ability to ship complex products independently or in small teams
• Strong programming across multiple languages
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Vercel, AWS)
• Active AI/ML project experience; familiarity with LLM deployment preferred
• Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

• Agentic Deployment: LLM-powered tool building (assistants, copilots, agents); UX-focused development
• Evaluations & ML: Safety/performance evaluation design in generative AI; fine-tuning, synthetic data, prompt engineering, model comparisons

Compensation: EUR 100,000-150,000 plus stock-based rewards

Location: Remote (hybrid option) or Amsterdam

Relocation support available to Amsterdam

Funded by EUR 5 million of founders' own capital to stay initially independent.
