Martell Ventures is building an AI-powered CFO designed to solve operational finance for founders. The platform replaces spreadsheets with real-time financial visibility through intelligent bookkeeping and proactive financial controls across a 3-phase roadmap. You'll be Engineer #5 on the founding team.

What You'll Do:

Design and implement scalable backend services for financial data processing
Integrate third-party APIs including Stripe, Shopify, QuickBooks, Xero, Square, and Plaid
Build AI workflows for automated bookkeeping and collections
Deploy AI agents for transaction categorization and natural language queries on financial data
Develop cash flow forecasting and margin analysis algorithms
Build automated accounts receivable/payable workflows
Full-stack ownership with focus on rapid feature shipping

Requirements:

5+ years full-stack or backend-heavy engineering experience
End-to-end SaaS/AI/fintech platform experience
AI-First mindset following the 10/80/10 principle
Problem-solving orientation prioritizing progress over perfection
Proactive communication and attention to financial data accuracy

Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 USD OTE. Fully remote, worldwide.
