About Hilbert's AI
Hilbert develops a reasoning engine for navigating non-deterministic user behavior across data silos, transforming lengthy decision cycles into minutes through a fully agentic demand intelligence platform. The company serves Fortune 500 enterprises and brands like FreshDirect and Levain Bakery.
The role requires building production-grade AI systems end-to-end, from experimentation through deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain AI-driven features serving enterprise customers
- Architect agent workflows using orchestration frameworks
- Own systems from experimentation to production deployment
- Build and improve evaluation pipelines for AI performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with founding team and product/GTM partners
- Make engineering decisions under ambiguity; ship, learn, iterate
- Shape technical direction as the company scales
Core Technical Challenges:
- Intelligent retrieval combining RAG, graph-based approaches, and unified strategies
- Robust agentic workflows handling edge cases and escalation
- Systematic evaluation frameworks predicting real-world performance
- Agent-driven execution with human-in-the-loop safeguards
Required Qualifications:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals (clean, testable, production-ready code)
- Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent agent frameworks
- Clear technical communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ownership mindset; proactive problem-solving
- Comfort with ambiguity in evolving AI products
- Startup-speed execution and responsiveness
Strong Pluses:
- Evaluation pipeline design experience
- Backend engineering (APIs, services, infrastructure)
- RAG, vector databases, or LLM-powered systems
- Early-stage startup experience
Compensation: Competitive salary + equity package, commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonuses tied to project milestones and customer impact.
