Senior Gen AI ML Engineer

NN Group seeks a Senior Gen AI ML Engineer to design, build, and maintain orchestration components enabling advanced AI and agentic solutions. The role focuses on connecting models, data pipelines, and business processes through orchestration logic for real business impact including claims automation, underwriting assistants, and customer contact optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Orchestrate end-to-end AI workflows, determining which models to invoke and when to pause for human review
• Translate business rules into resilient AI workflows using orchestration platforms
• Design data and compute-heavy backends supporting ML training and inference
• Build Python/FastAPI service layers with clean contracts and robust observability
• Apply MLOps/DevOps best practices including versioning, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
• Embed security and compliance (GDPR, AI Act alignment) from inception

Required Skills:

• 5+ years backend or ML engineering experience
• Strong Python, FastAPI, and RESTful API design proficiency
• Deep understanding of orchestration tools: Argo Workflows, Celery, Airflow or Temporal.io
• Docker/Kubernetes containerization and Azure cloud
• Messaging/streaming: Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or SQS

Preferred Skills:

• GenAI applications including RAG and vector stores (Azure AI Search, pgvector)
• AI risk/monitoring frameworks
• Azure DevOps/GitHub CI/CD pipelines
