Principal AI Engineer — PointClickCare
Location: Remote, USA (with travel to Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding and team events)
Compensation: $179,000-$199,000 USD annually + bonus + benefits

Lead and design AI systems across multiple SaaS solutions and establish organizational standards for agentic AI implementation. The role emphasizes enterprise-wide AI enablement, prototype-to-production transitions, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Set technical vision for agentic AI architecture
- Build reusable platform components (model routing, orchestration, evaluation frameworks)
- Develop advanced prompting strategies and analyze LLM performance
- Mentor engineering teams on AI maturity
- Establish governance and evaluation methodologies
Required Tech Stack
Must-Have:
- Agentic AI platforms: Microsoft (Foundry, AI Search, OpenAI, RAG, Copilot Studio) and Anthropic (Claude)
- Python and Java (production systems, testing, packaging, performance profiling)
- Agent frameworks: Anthropic, LangChain, Foundry
Desired Expertise:
- RAG/data pipelines: document preprocessing, embeddings, vector stores
- Model serving, cost/performance optimization
- SaaS AI maturation knowledge
- Salesforce Agentforce and Boomi Agentic AI platforms
Key Requirements
Proven leadership shipping agentic AI at scale across multiple products. Experience defining organizational standards for reasoning loops, tool use, memory, and safety protocols.
