AI Forward Deployed Engineer (Senior/Lead/Principal)

Salesforce seeks a highly accomplished Forward Deployed Engineer to lead complex AI deployments. The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, customer partnership, and technical leadership across AI/LLM solutions built on the Agentforce platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end technical delivery of complex AI solutions with hands-on coding and system configuration
• Design and implement high-quality, scalable production systems leveraging AI and LLM-based intelligent agents
• Engineer custom intelligent agents using Agentforce, ensuring seamless integration with customer ecosystems
• Own complete data lifecycle: modeling, pipeline development, and integration strategy
• Identify and resolve complex technical blockers across data integration, model deployment, and agent orchestration
• Become foremost expert in Agentforce platform, pushing capabilities while influencing product strategy
• Embed with client teams as primary technical advisor and strategic partner
• Conduct deep-dive debugging and root cause analysis for system interactions and AI model behaviors
• Lead rapid prototyping and MVP development with iterative refinement
• Mentor junior team members and enforce engineering best practices
• 25-50% travel to customer sites

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on, end-to-end delivery experience for scalable production solutions
• Strong Computer Science or related engineering background
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, Java, Python, or Apex
• Extensive experience building and deploying solutions with AI/LLM technologies
• Demonstrable proficiency with integrating LLMs, applying advanced AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), prompt engineering
• Experience with agentic frameworks
• Deep expertise in data modeling, processing, integration, and analytics
• Proficiency with enterprise data platforms: Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive Salesforce Data Cloud and/or Agentforce experience
• Experience deploying conversational AI in highly regulated industries
• Expert-level Apex and/or Python coding
• Lightning Web Components (LWC) expertise
• Open-source AI framework contributions
• Advanced Salesforce certifications

Compensation

• British Columbia: CAD $108,000 - $267,700
• Ontario: CAD $108,000 - $158,000
