Applied AI Engineer, Enterprise GenAI

Scale AI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer for Enterprise GenAI. For 8 years, Scale has been the leading AI data foundry, and is now building complex agents for enterprises through the Scale Generative Platform (SGP).

You Will

• Own, plan, and optimize the AI behind Enterprise customer's deepest technical problems
• Leverage SGP to build the most advanced AI agents across the industry including multimodal functionality, tool-calling, and more
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Meet regularly with customer teams onsite and virtually, collaborating cross-functionally
• Push production code in multiple development environments, writing and debugging code in both customer's and Scale's codebases

Ideally You'd Have

• A love for solving deeply complex technical problems with state of the art research and AI
• Strong engineering background: Bachelor's degree in CS, Mathematics, or quantitative field
• Deep familiarity with data-driven approaches for iterating on ML models
• Experience working with cloud technology stack (AWS or GCP)
• Proficiency in Python (numpy, pandas)

Nice to Haves

• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
• Built applications with Generative AI in production use cases
• Familiarity with state of the art LLMs

Salary: $216,000 - $270,000 USD (SF, NY, Seattle)
