Senior ML Engineer

Sword Health seeks an experienced machine learning engineer to develop AI solutions powering personalized clinical care. The Applied AI Team builds end-to-end AI treatment management systems handling complete care pathways. The work spans the full AI stack: prompt engineering, RAG implementations, model fine-tuning, and agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, evaluate, and ship AI/ML products
• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines for model training and evaluation
• Collaborate with Product, Data & Engineering teams on AI-powered features
• Mentor colleagues and share ML systems expertise
• Define best practices for the AI/ML function
• Identify opportunities to add AI/ML capabilities to products

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years professional ML experience
• Hands-on production ML systems implementation and maintenance
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with production software development experience
• Knowledge of Python data stack (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn)
• Experience leading complex projects from conception through maintenance
• Technical oversight and mentoring capabilities

Desired Qualifications

• Experience shipping applications using LLMs and Generative AI
• Cloud platform experience (GCP or AWS)
• Data pipeline building experience
