About the Company

Unit is an AI video company developing GTV, a platform that combines creativity and automation to deliver next-generation video content. The team includes veterans from Instagram, TikTok, and NVIDIA, backed by Khosla Ventures, Air Street Capital, and angels from top AI labs. Unit is building an AI agentic video platform for personalized marketing videos, with strong traction with enterprise customers.

Role Overview

This position involves building core products for the GTV platform, progressing concepts from prototype through launch. The engineer will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and designers on zero-to-one product development focused on media innovation, including agent architecture, AI video/image workflows, media infrastructure, customer data ingestion, enterprise integrations, publishing systems, and feedback loops from real marketing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create full-stack products featuring user interfaces, APIs, and scalable infrastructure
• Integrate generative models with researchers and engineers to enable new use cases
• Develop high-quality experiences emphasizing low latency, usability, and visual design
• Engage with customers and creatives to understand requirements and implement solutions

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years software engineering experience
• Frontend proficiency: NextJS, Tailwind
• Backend proficiency: NodeJS, Python
• Cloud platforms: Vercel, AWS (S3, Lambda, RDS, SQS, ECS)
• Frameworks/Tools: FastAPI, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
• Strong grasp of UX design, real-time applications, API patterns, generative models, distributed systems
• Debugging expertise and ownership of complex challenges

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Early-stage or growth startup experience
• Video generation, encoding, playback, distribution knowledge
• Generative AI and consumer product background

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $175K-$250K
