Senior Software Engineer - Artificial Intelligence (AI)
About the Role
Wunder Mobility develops software powering shared mobility globally, processing 50M+ daily API calls across Europe, the US, and Asia. The company is expanding into AI with clear monetization goals.
As a Senior Software Engineer - AI, you will design and build the agentic layer enabling agents to reason, use tools, and execute multi-step tasks. You will integrate LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) using function calling and tool use patterns, connect external data sources via MCP and APIs, and ship production-ready solutions at scale.
Three Primary Phases: 1. Foundation Building - creating service layers connecting data sources, writing API queries, and providing unified interfaces for agentic workflows and conversational analytics 2. Use Case Development - delivering production features including agents that identify vehicle problems, create operational tasks, detect rental issues, and enable natural language data querying 3. Platform Enablement - designing extensible systems with clean APIs and documentation
Requirements:
- 5+ years software engineering experience with hands-on LLM work
- Production AI experience shipping AI features in SaaS environments
- Agentic architecture expertise with function calling, tool use, and multi-step workflows
- AWS cloud infrastructure knowledge
- Platform thinking and product mindset
