Principal Generative AI Engineer - Agentic Systems

The appliedAI Initiative elevates Europe's industry to become shapers in the age of AI through partnerships and comprehensive programs advancing organizations on their AI journey. Approximately 90-person team.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build: Lead the design, coding, and implementation of advanced multi-agent systems, agentic workflows, and complex RAG architectures
• Drive end-to-end agentic AI program development from prototype to production
• Set engineering standards for code quality and autonomous system safety
• Guide technical teams through clear direction and code reviews
• Innovate with latest agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI) to improve solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical concepts into actionable recommendations

Requirements:

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• 8+ years software/AI engineering; 3+ years with Generative AI and agent focus
• Expert-level Python proficiency
• Deep experience with frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar
• Proven production-scale agentic AI implementations
• Understanding of Transformer architectures, advanced RAG, and multi-agent patterns
• Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP) with MLOps/LLMOps practices
• Fluent German and English required
