How you'll demonstrate Ownership:

As an AI Engineer, you'll design and build complex AI-powered solutions, agentic systems, user-facing applications, and intelligent workflows, deployed in real customer environments. You'll work closely with customer teams, internal stakeholders, and product engineering to take solutions from idea to production.

The Impact you bring to Cognite:

• Own deployments end-to-end. Build cross-stack solutions using Cognite Data Fusion and agentic frameworks to solve real customer problems
• Work with real-world systems and data. Orchestrate integrations between AI components, Cognite data models, and existing customer systems
• Design agent workflows. Architect and implement multi-agent systems that combine LLMs, tool use, evaluation loops, and reasoning over industrial data
• Execute directly with customers. Collaborate with technical teams on-site to refine use cases and integrate solutions
• Build interactive UIs. Create lightweight but powerful interfaces that deliver value
• Evangelize and enable. Translate technical work into compelling narratives
• Shape the product. Feed learnings and customer feedback into the product roadmap

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering
• Strong full-stack engineer (React + TypeScript frontend; Python, Kotlin backend)
• 3+ years software engineering, AI solution architecture, or similar
• Shipped agent-based applications (e.g., LangChain or similar frameworks)
• Bias toward rapid iteration

Preferred:

• Strong UI/UX instincts for building demos and apps quickly
• Understanding of industrial data types (time series, knowledge graphs)
• Familiarity with vector databases and RAG architectures
• Cloud-native development experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
