About the Role
Join Mastercard Foundry R&D in Dublin as a Principal AI Engineer focused on transforming AI prototypes into production-grade microservices. You will collaborate with data scientists and MLOps teams to design scalable AI systems, develop robust APIs, ensure quality assurance, optimize performance, and maintain compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI-powered microservices emphasizing modularity and scalability
- Transition notebook-based PoCs to production components including models and agentic workflows
- Develop APIs for seamless ecosystem integration
- Lead testing strategies
- Optimize microservice performance
- Design reusable data pipelines
- Research emerging technologies
- Cross-functional collaboration with data scientists and MLOps teams
- Ensure compliance with security and ethical AI standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years software development experience
- 5+ years building/deploying AI/ML, GenAI, or agentic AI applications in production
Tech Stack: Python, Java, FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Spring AI, Spring Boot, containerization, RESTful APIs, microservices, CI/CD, feature stores, model registries.
