Senior AI Engineer

Build production-grade AI systems for enterprise clients. Core duties include designing LLM-powered applications, maintaining evaluation frameworks, optimizing prompts across model providers, and providing ongoing system support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement LLM-powered systems with RAG pipelines and vector databases
• Build maintainable AI applications with robust error handling
• Develop evaluation frameworks for performance monitoring
• Implement feedback loops for continuous improvement
• Optimize prompts across model providers
• Collaborate cross-functionally
• Provide operational support

Required Skills:

• Hands-on work with LLM APIs and understanding of their capabilities and limitations
• AI architectures including RAG pipelines, vector/knowledge databases, and agentic frameworks
• Multi-step workflow and agentic system development using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Claude Agents SDK or custom solutions
• Strong Python with production API development experience
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines
• SQL, pandas, and AI output evaluation

Desirable:

• AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex)
• LLM fine-tuning
• Real-time streaming and multimodal models
• Model observability platforms (LangSmith, Weights & Biases)
• Tool-calling agents and guardrails

Contract: £600-700/day, Outside IR35, 6-month contract

Location: London, 3 days in office (hybrid)
