Senior Lead - AI Engineering (LangGraph / Haystack / RAG Systems)

Codvo.ai is hiring a Senior Lead AI Engineer to own end-to-end architecture, delivery, and optimization of enterprise RAG and agentic systems. You'll lead a team of 3-5 AI engineers building and deploying LangGraph, Haystack, and FastAPI-based pipelines for the NeIO platform serving Oil & Gas, Mortgage, and Legal sectors.

What you'll do

• Design and oversee RAG pipelines using LangGraph, Haystack, LangChain, and OpenAI APIs
• Lead 3-5 AI engineers; own code reviews and architecture decisions
• Develop FastAPI microservices with vectorized retrieval (Qdrant, FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)
• Optimize embedding quality and multi-tenant data lakes
• Integrate geospatial data (PostGIS, QGIS, GeoPandas) for upstream Oil & Gas use cases
• Implement governance, observability, and audit trails for production AI
• Translate business workflows into measurable AI automation

What we're looking for

Required: LangGraph, Haystack, FastAPI, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, Qdrant, FAISS, Pinecone, Pandas, DuckDB, Git, Docker. 8-12 years total experience; 4+ years leading AI/ML or backend teams. Deep hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Haystack, and RAG architectures. Strong Python (async), FastAPI, vector databases, and embedding workflows.

Preferred: PySpark, Airbyte, MLflow, DVC, Kubernetes, PostGIS, GeoPandas, QGIS. Experience with CI/CD on GitHub Actions. Ability to make architecture calls under ambiguity and ship to enterprise customers.
