Applied AI Engineer - Agentic Workflows Cohere | Singapore (Remote-flexible) | Posted January 15, 2026

Cohere is looking for Applied AI Engineers who can own the design, build, and deployment of agentic workflows powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) - from early prototypes to production-grade AI agents.

Responsibilities:

  • Transform business workflows into scalable, production-ready agentic AI systems
  • Design and build LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and act across tools and data sources
  • Build agent workflows that integrate LLMs with tools, APIs, and data sources
  • Balance rapid iteration with enterprise reliability standards
  • Establish evaluation and quality metrics for agent performance
  • Debug agent behavior and improve prompts, workflows, and guardrails
  • Develop reusable frameworks for consistent customer delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years building production software; 2+ years with LLMs/AI APIs
  • Strong Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript skills
  • Hands-on experience with GPT, Claude, Gemini, vector databases, LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex
  • Expertise in RAG, agent workflows, evaluation, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency in prompt engineering, tool use, and multi-step workflows
