About the Role

LittleBigCode is a technology consultancy based in Brussels, Belgium.

Position: GenAI Engineer
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid, 1-2 days remote per week)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: EUR 45,000 - EUR 70,000

As a GenAI Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy GenAI models with a focus on large language models (LLMs) and multimodal systems. You will build and fine-tune AI agents capable of autonomous reasoning, planning, and task execution, develop end-to-end GenAI pipelines from data ingestion to model serving and monitoring, and implement prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) strategies to enhance model performance and relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy GenAI models with focus on LLMs and multimodal systems
  • Build and fine-tune AI agents capable of autonomous reasoning, planning, and task execution
  • Develop end-to-end GenAI pipelines from data ingestion to model serving and monitoring
  • Implement prompt engineering and RAG strategies to enhance model performance and relevance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GenAI solutions into real-world applications
  • Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, latency, and ethical AI standards
  • Stay up to date with the latest research in generative AI
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers in the AI/ML and software teams

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Software Developer or GenAI Engineer
  • Excellent software engineering background in Python
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Deep understanding of LLMs fine-tuning and training lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering for LLMs (e.g., GPT-3, Gemini)
