About the Role
Nordea is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist / AI Engineer to build and scale Generative AI applications within the Group Financial Crime Prevention unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prototype high impact GenAI projects with business stakeholders
- Build, deploy and monitor production-grade AI applications
- Design evaluation frameworks for application quality
- Establish best practices and architecture for GenAI development
- Mentor team members through collaborative work
- Ensure compliance with risk and responsible AI standards
Required Skills & Experience
- MSc or PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related field (equivalent practical experience acceptable)
- 2+ years building and deploying production ML/AI systems in Python
- 1 year+ experience developing generative AI applications, using LLM APIs, RAG, modern orchestration, agent-based patterns or other relevant technologies
- Strong systems design capabilities for ML/AI applications
- Prototyping and production deployment track record
- Structured testing and experimentation abilities
