AI Engineer

Saxo Bank is hiring an AI Engineer in Copenhagen, Denmark. The role focuses on designing and operating end-to-end AI applications for trading platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Building customer-facing AI features such as conversational assistants and intelligent search
• Developing internal AI tools for knowledge retrieval, summarisation, research and workflow automation
• Designing and implementing agentic systems, i.e. multi-step AI workflows using tool calling, context management and orchestration to solve complex tasks
• Working directly with model provider APIs rather than heavy abstraction frameworks
• Integrating emerging protocols like MCP (Model Context Protocol) and A2A (Agent-to-Agent)
• Managing data integrations with SQL, REST APIs, and event-driven systems
• Deploying services on Kubernetes with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and observability

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or C# (ideally multiple languages)
• Production API/service development experience
• Practical LLM experience including prompt engineering and agentic workflows
• Direct model API integration capabilities
• AI-assisted development tool proficiency
• Security awareness regarding prompt injection and data leakage
• English fluency

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Full-stack development (front-end/UI)
• AI safety and content filtering experience
• Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• DevOps and infrastructure-as-code skills
