About the Role

Sopra Steria is a European tech leader in consulting, digital services, and software development. They are looking for an AI Engineer to join their Data & AI department in Brussels/Flanders.

The role involves bringing traditional and Generative AI into real world use cases by designing, building, and deploying AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build Generative AI solutions
  • Train, fine-tune, and deploy ML models
  • Write production-ready code for online, batch, and real-time models
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and Data Engineers
  • Support clients on medium to long-term projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or MLOps Engineer
  • Experience with traditional NLP, LLMs, and conversational AI, both in experimentation phase and in production
  • Vector database experience for semantic search and RAG solutions in a production environment
  • Strong Python software engineering skills with production-level code capability
  • Experiment tracking and LLM/NLP evaluation techniques
  • MLOps and DevOps proficiency
  • Cloud provider experience
  • Master's or PhD in ML, AI, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • English fluency; Dutch and/or French required
