About the Role
Thieme is a healthcare information and services provider employing over 1,000 staff, operating internationally across 11 cities, offering digital solutions for medical professionals. The company is transforming from a traditional publishing house to a leading digital solutions provider in the healthcare sector.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize AI products including solutions built on advanced RAG architectures within the medical domain. You will build and enhance AI pipelines from prototype to production using MLflow, monitor RAG-based chat application performance in production, collaborate cross-functionally with Data Science, DevOps, and Product teams, coordinate with Subject Matter Experts for knowledge model validation, and apply initial experience in orchestrating agentic systems (e.g. MCP).
Required qualifications:
- Several years hands-on experience as AI Engineer or Data Scientist
- Strong expertise in LLM integration and RAG system design (particularly within retrieval components)
- Python proficiency with PyTorch, LangChain/LangGraph
- Cloud deployment experience (ideally Databricks)
