Senior AI/ML Engineer - NLP / LLM / GenAI (f/m/d)

About the Role:

The position focuses on researching, developing, and bringing GenAI / LLM / NLP capabilities into production to elevate the in-car experience. Candidates will work with both cloud-based and vehicle-integrated systems running Android Automotive OS and Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead GenAI research and deployment for intelligent cockpit systems
• Design, implement, and operate production-grade Agentic AI frameworks (tool use, planning, memory, orchestration) within automotive middleware
• Build cloud pipelines for scalable GenAI system deployment and monitoring
• Develop prompt engineering and guardrailing mechanisms meeting automotive safety standards
• Establish automated evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic systems including A/B testing
• Integrate cloud GenAI capabilities with embedded in-vehicle environments across Android Automotive OS and Linux platforms

Required Qualifications:

• PhD or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics
• Strong production-environment NLP and Deep Learning experience
• Expertise with Transformer architectures and modern LLM ecosystems
• Agentic AI framework experience (orchestration patterns, tool calling, retrieval, planning)
• ML/GenAI deployment experience in cloud infrastructure (containerization, CI/CD, monitoring)
• Python proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras
• Strong English communication skills
