Generative AI Lead Engineer

Generative AI Lead Engineer at Faktion in Antwerp (Hybrid). Lead engineering position overseeing transformative advancements across multiple industries, including Multi-Agent AI / Generative AI Applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies, voice AI assistants, and advanced language processing applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement NLP and generative/agentic AI models
• Develop proprietary integrations with third-party solutions
• Cross-functional collaboration with AI, development, and product teams
• Research cutting-edge NLP and agentic AI advancements
• MLOps pipeline development and maintenance
• Build containerized services using Docker and FastAPI
• Technical mentorship and team leadership

Requirements:

• Native Dutch + English fluency (French preferred)
• Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in CS, NLP, AI, or ML
• 5+ years implementing NLP and generative AI models
• Expert Python proficiency
• Deep knowledge: transformer architectures, language models, embeddings
• Experience: LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation methodologies
• Cloud platforms (Azure focus)
• Leadership experience in technical projects

Tech stack: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face transformers, Docker, FastAPI, Azure.
