Senior Product Engineer

GAIA is revolutionising the legal industry with AI that automates legal work and empowers legal professionals to work more efficiently. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will design and build AI-driven features across the full stack (Python backend, Vue 3 or React frontend) to develop product features and prototypes powered by LLMs. You will experiment rapidly with LLMs: explore new APIs, test novel workflows, and prototype features that make legal work faster. You should be comfortable with prompt engineering. You will engage directly with users to gather feedback and shape product direction, collaborate with CTO and CEO on product roadmap and strategy, and monitor emerging LLM and AI developments to inform experimentation priorities.

Required: 2+ years software engineering experience with full-stack exposure. Proficiency in Python (core backend language). 2-3 completed LLM projects (internal tools, open-source, or side projects). Hands-on LLM integration experience: APIs, prompt design, model experimentation. Experience in knowledge-heavy industries (legal field experience is a very strong plus). Product work exposure: user communication and feedback translation abilities. macOS compatibility. Startup or fast-paced environment experience preferred.
