Senior Staff Engineer (AI systems)

Libra AI is building an AI Operating System for Work — a unified, agentic layer.

As Senior Staff Engineer (AI systems), you will lead design and development of core AI systems as a deep individual contributor with technical leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own system architecture across AI and backend infrastructure
• Build and scale LLM-powered systems (agents, RAG, orchestration layers)
• Develop a unified context layer (semantic memory across tools and users)
• Drive performance optimization across latency, cost, and reliability metrics
• Lead complex technical projects from inception through scaling
• Establish engineering best practices
• Mentor team members

Requirements:

• 6-10 years of engineering experience
• AI/LLMs expertise (non-negotiable)
• Deep backend systems experience (Node.js or Python preferred)
• System design & architecture proficiency
• Production-scale experience

Nice-to-haves:

• Agentic/AI-native product experience
• Vector databases, graph databases
• RAG implementations
• LLM evaluation frameworks
• Early-stage startup experience
• Infrastructure cost optimization

Compensation: INR 60-90 LPA + 0.5-3% equity
