Founding AI Engineer & Architect

The Link Housing is a profitable, founder-led firm serving insurance-displaced families in California, building AI infrastructure for the $20B+ relocation industry (an industry that runs on email, spreadsheets, and phone calls). As Founding AI Engineer & Architect (fully remote, worldwide), you own the entire AI roadmap and design and scale multi-agent AI systems on the Anthropic Claude API.

Current tech stack:

• Claude API (primary).
• An 8-agent SAM.gov pipeline that scans federal solicitations, extracts requirements from fillable PDFs, and drafts responses.
• An email triage agent (Gmail + Monday.com sync).
• MCP servers, orchestration on a dedicated mini-PC.
• Integrations: SAM.gov, Google Places, CRM.

What you'll build: scaling agents, multi-agent orchestration, tool use, error handling, evals, observability, and customer-facing AI tools (intake, tenant portal, property matching). Roadmap: voice agents (Vapi, Retell, ElevenLabs), computer-use agents, and RAG over placement history.

Stack: Node.js (primary) or Python, MCP (Model Context Protocol), PDF parsing (pdf-lib, pdftotext, pdf-parse), Google Workspace APIs, Monday.com API, Claude API.

Requirements:

• 5+ years software engineering; 2-3 years production LLM applications.
• Deep, hands-on experience with the Anthropic Claude API.
• Demonstrated multi-agent system design end-to-end (orchestration, tool use, error handling, evals, observability).
• Strong Node.js or Python (willing to work in Node).
• Fluent English; able to be the most senior AI technical person in the room.

Bonus: MCP server experience; real estate/insurance/government contracting background; open-source AI contributions; prompt eval frameworks (Promptfoo, Braintrust, LangSmith); PDF parsing at scale.
