Staff Software Engineer (Tech Lead) - AI Data Platform

Monda Labs is building data products that are ready to be consumed by (agentic) AI. As Staff Software Engineer / Tech Lead for the AI Data Platform, you will implement AI-driven features and AI data agents that support customers in creating and exposing semantically-rich, AI-ready data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a high-scale data product platform handling approximately 400K data pipeline jobs monthly at petabyte scale
• Design and enhance cross-cloud data architecture for scalability, low-latency, and cost-efficiency
• Implement AI-driven features and data agents enabling customers to create semantically-rich, AI-ready data products

Required Qualifications

• Deep experience with Snowflake (required) and similar platforms (Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse, ClickHouse)
• Hands-on experience with Prefect or alternatives (Airflow, Dagster, Flyte, Mage, Metaflow)
• Proven data ingestion/egress experience with S3-compatible cloud storage
• Experience building AI agents and MCP servers with Snowflake Cortex AI or similar (Google Vertex AI, Databricks)
• Expert-level backend design with Django and Python (required)
• Data observability monitoring experience with tools like Metaplane or Monte Carlo

Salary: EUR 90,000 - EUR 110,000 annually.

Start Date: May 1, 2026.

Location: Berlin, Germany (hybrid).
