About the Role
Wave5 seeks an AI Agent Engineer to design and implement intelligent agent architectures for enterprise environments. The role focuses on developing AI copilots and orchestrated agents using Microsoft's ecosystem while ensuring secure, autonomous, and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy intelligent agents using Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and LangChain
- Develop APIs/backend services in .NET (C#) or Python to support agent operations
- Integrate agents into Copilots, Teams, and business-critical platforms
- Configure secure communication channels using Azure AD, OAuth2, and Microsoft Cloud Protocol (MCP)
- Define and optimize prompt chains, agent behavior, context memory, and fallback logic
- Implement monitoring and exception handling for production agents
- Collaborate with AI consultants, architects, and UX teams
Required Skills & Tech Stack
- Strong .NET C# and Python development experience
- Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, OpenAI proficiency
- Semantic Kernel or similar orchestration frameworks
- Microsoft Cloud Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication
- LLM chaining, memory handling, prompt optimization
- Microsoft Graph and enterprise API integration
- Azure Functions, Key Vault, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps)
- Bachelor's/Master's in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or AI
- 3+ years cloud-based software development or AI solution engineering
- English fluency (Dutch advantageous)
